Finding Focus: Master the Business of Photography

One of the biggest mistakes of new career photographers is that they haven’t yet learned how to be choosy about the shoots they book.

There are several reasons why it may be best to decide to turn down work. In this episode, I discuss three of the main reasons why you would want to do so. Perhaps the job is outside your scope of service. Or, maybe it doesn’t support your style. Have you ever had that feeling that a particular photography client would turn out to be a pain to work with? You were probably right.

Choosing the right clients to shoot for is very important to your photography business, because it helps you to book shoots you will be happy doing, work with people you enjoy being around, and keeps you from being tied up with problems and negative feedback.

You should be choosing your clients just as much as they are choosing you!
